Bob Diggory

Consultant Upper GI Surgeon currently practicing in Shropshire.

Specialising in Gastro-oesophageal Cancer, Bariatric surgery and Diseases of the Wealthy.

Formerly Consultant General Surgeon in Kirkcaldy and St Andrews for 9 years, Left to do missionary work (laparoscopy) in England in 2001.

Trained in Dundee, Liverpool and Tokyo.

Nephew of the far more famous Jim (or Sid) Diggory, driver and owner of Lister Jaguars, Lolas, Aston Martin DBR2, and a Formula Junior racing team with drivers including Chris Meek and Bruce Halford.

Current stable Lightning/ Envoyette FJ, DRW Mark 6 Sports racer, 1978 Porsche 928 Mark 1, 1979 Caterham 7 Hillclimb car, TZ350B Yamaha.

Raced bikes and karts as a youth then grew up and went to Medical School.

Did a bit of Hillclimbing in the 80s.

Purchased the Lightning Formula Junior in 1996 on the understanding it was a rebuild of a Diggory Gwyniad FJ. Raced mainly in Scotland and the north of England.

Winner of the Scottish Historics Championship in 2000.

Crashed quite badly in 2001 at Oulton Park and have been getting slower ever since.

Completed a total of 4 race in the past 4 years - all at Oulton Park and have yet to be beaten by JM!
